About Us

Delta Elevator is a family owned business since 1964. With years of experience in manufacturing, installing, maintaining and repairing passenger elevators. 

The company was started in 1964 by Van Peterson, an electrical engineer, with his father Mell who had worked in the elevator industry for years. One year later Van's younger brother, Dennis Peterson, graduated from college with a mechanical engineering degree and joined the company. 

In 2005, Van and Dennis retired and Van's son Scott took over and managed the company. Over the years, 5 of Scott's children joined the company. Sharon in 2004, Preston in 2005, with Christy, Carrie and Lance joining in 2007. Each specializing in a different area of the company. Sadly, in 2018 Van and Sharon passed away. Scott and his children continued to work together until his retirement in June 2023 and sadly passed in December 2023.

The company is now owned and operated by Scott's children: Preston Peterson, Christy Pope, Carrie Peterson, and Lance Peterson. They continue to provide the same great product and service that their father, grandfather and great-grandfather began.

Preston Peterson, the Installation Manager, has been responsible for the installation of Delta elevators for several years prior to assuming his current role in the office. With his extensive experience, he is well-versed in every aspect of the installation process, starting from placing the jack in the ground to successfully completing the final inspection. Should you have any inquiries, he is fully prepared to provide you with the answers you seek. Additionally, Preston conducts site visits and job walks specifically on Wednesdays. 

Carrie Peterson, Service Manager, by working closely with Scott for the past six years, has absorbed a vast amount of knowledge and expertise, becoming proficient in all aspects of the position. She is always eager to help and answer any questions customers may have about monthly maintenance, modernization, or invoicing.
